Hello everyone! My name is Alec, and I am an environmental physicist and math instructor at UNLV and CSN. I have previously worked as a tutor, teaching assistant, and test prep instructor for the Nevada System of Higher Education and have spent a semester serving as a peer-mentor representative for the College of Sciences at UNLV. I have been working in academia for 4 years and am pursuing my Master of Mathematics and PhD in Learning Theory. I am currently conducting research on water conservation techniques in the American southwest and the human health implications associated with oceanic plastic contamination and bioaccumulation of plastics and microplastics in seafood. I can help out with any level of math and physics and can even teach Spanish and German!
