About Alaya

I'd describe my personality as observant, thoughtful, and bright/funny! I pay attention to the little things, especially when it comes to a child's needs, emotions, and safety, while still knowing how to be playful and have fun. I enjoy working with kids because their early years are so important! Socialization, sensory play, repetition, and exposure to new people and experiences all contribute to their development. As a nursing student with an interest in working with children and mental health, I'd love to help create an environment where kids feel safe, seen, supported, and comfortable being themselves. I'm also the oldest of two younger sisters, so caring for and looking out for younger children has always come naturally to me. In my spare time, I love roller skating with my music, reading, trying new foods, and spending time with my family. I'm a huge foodie, so nobody is going hungry around me!
