About Alana

I provided compassionate, hands-on care for an elderly woman with dementia, Bernice, for one and a half years. In this role, I was responsible for assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding, personal hygiene, bathing, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I developed a patient and supportive approach to help manage the challenges that come with memory loss, ensuring she felt comfortable, respected, and secure each day. This experience strengthened my empathy, reliability, and ability to provide attentive, person-centered care.
