Hello, my name is Akila. I am a reliable, detail-oriented professional with a background in public health and a strong commitment to supporting individuals in my community. I recently completed my Master of Public Health, with a focus on health equity, and have experience working in structured, service-oriented environments where trust, communication, and attention to detail are essential. While I continue to pursue full-time opportunities in my field, I am currently available to provide dependable support to individuals and families. I also have experience coaching a wellness-based paddling program that included all types of cancer survivors ranging in age from 23 to 82, which strengthened my ability to work with patience, empathy, and attentiveness. I offer non-medical assistance such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, errands and transportation for appointments or daily needs. I am based in Nassau County and available for flexible scheduling.
