About Afiya

Hi, my name is Afiya, and I am a Junior Criminology major and a member of the BA/JD Accelerated Program. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. Over the past two years, I have worked as a babysitter, tutor, and camp counselor, gaining experience caring for children while creating safe, engaging, and supportive environments. I enjoy organizing outdoor games, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, and theatre activities that encourage learning and teamwork. I have cared for up to six children at once raging from ages 0-10, and tutored two simultaneously. I am CPR and First Aid trained and can assist with homework, light housekeeping, cooking, swimming supervision, and pet care. I am fluent in English and Patois, with intermediate Spanish proficiency. I am dependable, patient, and committed to providing attentive, nurturing care while maintaining clear communication with families. I look forward to helping your children learn, grow, and thrive every day with kindness.
