About Adelaide

I like working with kids because they remind me to look at everything as if I'm seeing it for the first time. I feel more in tune with my surroundings and emotions when I'm with children, and can be reminded of what it means to process emotions and the work that goes into that process. I'm looking for a job that creates a nurturing environment for the kids I'm working with and myself. I started working with kids when I was in middle school, as a mother's helper to many of my neighbors. Those jobs transitioned to babysitting jobs when I was in high school, and I'd stay home with kids while their parents went out on date nights. Since my friends have begun to have kids, I've taken on that care role for their children when my schedule allowed for it. In my spare time, I like to read whatever I can get my hands on, and try to incorporate some form of making into my day. Often it's cooking, but I recently took a front making class and have been going to figure drawing sessions.
