About Addisyn

I started working with kids when I was 13 years old. I started babysitting because I enjoyed taking care of my younger siblings. Since then, I have volunteered at city events that involved working with children, and I tutor children at the library. In my spare time, I like to read, draw, paint, play guitar, and sing. I am a very creative and crafty person, which really comes in handy when taking care of children. I can't resist a good coloring sheet! My skills include building emotional regulation skills, resolving issues between siblings, and providing help with homework. I am good at allowing children to express their feelings and talk through issues, and I enjoy supporting kids emotionally while still providing structure. I have two younger siblings so over the years I have gained the ability to deescalate tense situations between siblings. At college I am a tutor for children at the local library. I have become skilled at helping children understand and complete homework.
