About Addison

Hi! My name is Addy. I'm 26 years old, originally from St. Joseph, Missouri, and currently live in Lawrence, Kansas. Growing up, I helped care for my much younger sibling, which sparked my love of working with children. During high school, I volunteered in childcare programs before beginning my professional childcare career in 2021 in an after-school program serving elementary and middle school students. Since 2023, I have worked in licensed child development centers and currently work as a toddler teacher. I also regularly babysit for multiple families. I am fully CPR, AED, and First Aid certified for infants, children, and adults. I am currently completing bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Psychology, and I completed my Psychology capstone with a focus on child development. I love interacting with kiddos at their level, being silly, doing crafts, having dance parties, reading stories, and creating fun experiences while making sure children are safe, cared for, and learning.
