I'm looking for a job that allows me the time and space to think critically about the work, while maintaining a focused curriculum catered toward the individual student's needs. I started tutoring when I became an editor for my university's literary arts and culture magazine, The Catalyst. What began as a simple editorial position quickly became a highly involved endeavor, which developed my interpersonal teaching skills while honing my ability to identify strengths and weaknesses in both writing, and communication. One thing you should know about me is I'm flexible in terms of scheduling and communication, but rather strict in terms of work ethic. While it is important to me that I have a strong relationship with the student and their parents, I always put the needs of the student first in order to maintain a professional atmosphere. My skills include creative conflict resolution, trauma-informed reading and classroom management, and critical thinking at the highest level.
