About Abigail

Hi! I'm an experienced English and reading instructor who has taught both middle school and college-level writing. I currently teach college composition and have also worked as a public school reading teacher, supporting students across a wide range of ages and skill levels. I have experience working with students with diverse learning needs and am trained in the Science of Reading (LETRS), using research-based strategies to support foundational skills, comprehension, and confidence. I specialize in essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and test prep, and I focus on breaking things down in ways that make learning feel manageable and clear. I especially enjoy helping students who feel stuck or unsure build confidence and find strategies that work for them. I'm happy to tailor sessions to your student's goals--whether that's homework help, skill-building, or long-term support.
