About Abigail

Hi! My name is Abigail, and I'm currently a Special Education Teacher and Teach For America Corps Member in Washington, DC. I've worked with children of all ages and abilities for over 8 years in a wide range of settings-including schools, summer camps, YMCA programs, and private homes. I am comfortable working with children with disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavioral and emotional challenges, and severe allergies. I also have extensive experience as a YMCA Kindercamp Counselor, Afterschool Program Leader, and Residential Camp Counselor at Camp Cheerio for 3 summers. I've worked with children from 4 months to 15 years old, and I'm certified in CPR, First Aid, and Infant CPR. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill. I have a clean driving record and a reliable Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm very comfortable around pets (I have two dogs myself!) and am happy to help with errands, grocery runs, and other family needs.
