About Abigail

My name is Abbey and I am looking to be your next caregiver. I graduated from Georgia Southern University in December 2019 with a degree in Recreation and a minor in Child and Family Development. I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and have extensive experience working with children of all ages and abilities including those with disabilities including but not limited to Down Syndrome, ASD, Praeder Willi, SCI, ABI, CP, and Spina Bifida. My specialty is using FUN as the building blocks of fundamental skills such as social skills, ADLs, self care, advocacy, and independence. I design activities for all ages to address the needs of your child regardless of developmental stage. In the past I have provided personal care such as feeding tube changes, tube feeds, transfers, bathing, position adjustments, toileting or changing, among others. Additionally I am a quick learner. My experience with past medical procedures and devices allow me to pick up new skills.
