About Abigail

In addition to childcare experience, I bring a strong background in literacy and writing instruction. I've worked as a private writing tutor for high school and undergraduate students and as a literacy tutor for elementary through middle school students to help build reading fluency, comprehension, writing skills, and academic confidence. In 2019, I founded an independent literacy program while living overseas for children ages 4-12 and have experience supporting below-grade-level learners through creative, individualized instruction. As a self-employed professional writer with a B. A. in Journalism, I enjoy helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence - whether through homework support, reading practice, or research projects.
