We hired Abdul for a week of respite care for myself and my adult daughter while my husband went to NYC to attend our other daughter's graduation from law school. Despite the fact that this was a last minute need for only a week and Abdul was looking for something longer term, he stepped up and leaned in to providing us excellent care for an entire week. He came daily to feed us, do our laundry (and we have a lot of laundry), and feed our very large dog and very ornery parrot. He showed up on time every day and stayed later even on the final day when my husband's flight home was cancelled. He ran errands and took my disabled daughter to her doctor's appointment. Abdul was pleasant, rapidly provided whatever was needed at that moment, and kept our household running neat and clean. Perhaps cleaner than we even expected. We would have him back again to do the same any time.
