About Abby

Hey there! I started nannying and babysitting at 15 when I took my first childcare course and fell in love with the profession. Throughout my time in college I worked in multiple daycare centers working with infants and toddlers. Post-college, I then did several years in the corporate writing world and in the last year and a half left my profession to work with kids again. This past year I've taken care of a little guy from 4 to 18 months and with him heading to daycare, I'm looking for more families to help! I live in the Volker neighborhood in KC with my wife and our three cats. My passion has always been creative writing and I also enjoy reading, crafts, and spending time with friends and family. I'm flexible and adaptable to your life and schedule. In my previous nanny and child care positions I've maintained a play-based, creative mindset, including sensory activities and imaginative exploration. I also have experience taking children in my vehicle and with car seat saftey.
