About Abby

I have been in child care since I was able to. I remember getting my "babysitting certification" in Girl Scouts when I was 12 was one of the most exciting things I did at that time. I love kids and enjoy my time with them. I was a referee for the YMCA for two years and loved every second of it. I was able to help teach the kids how to play sports that they were interested in and the importance of teamwork. A perk to having worked for the YMCA is that I am CPR certified and have been trained to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations. I have nannied for families with up to four kids and with age ranges from infant to 12 years old. I have been the entertainer for the family and also helped with schoolwork when needed. I have prepared meals and taken the kids on "field trips" to places such as the zoo and the pool. Child care is something that energizes me and that I believe that I am skilled in.
