About Cara

I have recently moved to the area as of September 2024 with my husband, 2 children and pets. I am looking for part time or full-time work with a family. I am the oldest of three siblings, so I grew up taking care of kids. I spent most of my summers in high school and the beginning years of college watching my siblings and neighbors children. I also worked professionally as a Supervisor at an hourly child-care, a Lead Teacher at a Child Development Center and a nanny. I have taken care of kids ranging from 6 weeks old to 12 years old on and off for over 10 years. I am also a mom of 2 (ages 3 & 6) and would need to bring them with me most of the time. I graduated in 2016 from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Family Studies and am currently working towards a Master's in Social Work.

Cara was incredible to work with and has become part of our family. She was all of the things you could ask for: timely, thoughtful, patient, caring, and kept things orderly/ clean - but more than that she really cared about my kids and was such a joy to have around. We all miss her terribly and had she not moved we would love to have her with us still!
