Full-Time Elderly Caregiver Available

Avg response < 7 hrs
I started out working in the nursing home as a state tested nurse's aide. After having children I worked with the home bound elderly whose health concerns ranged from sight impaired, dementia/Alzheimer's, stroke, and ALS. I assisted them with personal care, meal preparation, med assistance, groceries, occupational and physical therapy exercises, etc. I enjoy working 1-on-1 with the elderly in a manner so as to help establish self worth and dignity at a time in their life when self worth and dignity are often diminished. I am a non-smoker who likes pets. I would prefer (and have done) 24 to 36 hour shifts which would work with someone who requires 24-hour companionship. Preferably Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning through Friday afternoon due to being a pastor's wife. I am willing to speak with you regarding your particular hours of help needed and form of payment. I look forward to hearing from you regarding the care of your loved one. Thank you.

Susan was part of a group of caregivers that I hired to care for my 95 year old grandmother. On the day that she came to the interview, she came prepared with notebook & pen. She took notes & asked very appropriate questions She wasn't afraid to jump right in & started work the very next day ! She is tender hearted, calm & very patient. During down time, she also helped with laundry & simple household tasks. Thankful to have found her & grateful that she was there to help us. Would definitely hire again !

Compassionate, Warmhearted, And Sweet Caregiver And A Certified Dementia Practitioner

Avg response < 19 hrs
I am a very compassionate, honest, genuinely sweet person and I enjoy working with the elderly very much. I currently work as a nursing caregiver and have for 10 years. My dedication is based on the need to make my client's life filled with self worth and self dignity, and one encumbered with joy, security, and safety. I believe in a Holistic approach of caring for not only their physical health but their mind and spirit as well. Some avenues used are through adequate mental and physical stimulation, through conversation, reading and restorative programs, as well as their spiritual choices. Most importantly, I believe that our elderly should be our main priority in this country as they are the ones who have made it the great country it is and who have made us the people we are today. They have earned much respect and dignity. Their amazing life stories and wisdom are invaluable. I am blessed and honored to work with them. Sincerely, Julia.

To Whom It May Concern: This is a letter of recommendation for Ms. Julia M. who is seeking a professional position within your area. Ms. M. was a personal care assistant for my mom from 2018-2019. Julia was outstanding! She was loyal, caring, kind, and most of all, patient. Julia has a unique calmness about her professional duties. She was always cool and calm, and worked with poise, dedication and kindness to help guide my mother through her days with Alzheimer's. In particular the element of Sun-downers Syndrome was very prevalent with my mom and Julia was very instrumental with taking care of her needs and getting her back to bed in a very safe and mindful manner. Julia is a team player. Throughout the months she may have needed a day off and was always willing to switch days and work within a team setting to make sure that mom was covered at nighttime. She valued her job and was a very loyal and dedicated member of the nursing team that helped to service mom
