Hello! I am an early-retired mom of three grown children looking for a lovely family to nanny for. I live in Wyandotte. I am a non-smoker, and have my own transportation. I have worked extensively with children over the years as director of children's programs for my church and although not a teacher by profession, have done tutoring in math, reading and music. I love children and focus on educationally based playing as well as crafts, music, exploring the outdoors, etc. I love pets (have two Yorkies of my own) and would be happy to do light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed (good cook). I am reliable, honest and trustworthy, and very dependable. I am retired, but still have lots of energy and lots of love for your little ones. Hello! I worked as an Accountant for 16 years until I decided that I would rather be helping people. Being able to teach was my inner passion. I have an Associate in Accounting and a BS in Education with a concentration in Math. I can teach math, english, and accounting using a variety of methods until you understand! As a student, I always understood a lot of things quickly, and in turn I used that understanding to help my fellow students. Now I'm out of high school and still am open to helping other students in math (ranging from basic elementary to algebra and algebra II), English/language arts (grammar, vocabulary, and literature comprehension at the high school level), and my favorite ancient language Latin (up to Latin III depending on the depth of the course).

I am currently a Student Teaching intern at University. I am placed in a 6th grade Social Studies classroom. I have passed my Michigan Test for Teacher Certification in Secondary Social Studies Education. However, I also have experience working with kids K-8 in an after school program. I helped tutor these kids in Math, Science, English, and Social Studies. I also helped coordinate field trips with this group.

I am a certified teacher who has tutored many students in multiple subjects. Throughout my career I have taught at risk students reading and math, as well as teaching kindergarten, second, and third grade.

Hello! My name is Michaela. I recently graduated as the valedictorian of my class of 2015. My ACT score was a 33 on my first attempt. I received a 4 on the AP English test and a 5 on the AP government, US history, and calculus tests. I also scored 100% on all 3 sections of my teacher's calculus final. Math is my preferred subject to teach, but I maintained a 4. 2 GPA throughout high school and would be happy to teach any subject that I am knowledgeable of. While I do not have much tutoring experience, I did tutor a classmate in math over the summer in middle school. I also helped many of my friends and classmates in school to improve. I love working with children, and with having 4 younger brothers that also need homework help, I am very patient! I am very happy and eager to help students succeed as I have. Specifically for math students, also know that I received the highest excellence in mathematics award upon graduating. Classmates often sought my help, because I was notorious for correcting my teachers! I know that word problems also get groans out of most students, and those are my specialty.
