I recently retired from teaching after being an educator for more than 20 years. I have an M. A. in Economics from University of Pennsylvania. I graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a B. A. in Economics and Philosophy and a minor in Math. I have taught every level of Spanish from first grade through AP Spanish Language and Literature, I have taught high school and college math through Calculus, and I have taught Microeconomics at the college level. I was a College Board AP Spanish Language reader for several years. Over the years, I tutored many students in Spanish and Math. I have found working one-on-one with a student makes a huge difference. I tailor my teaching to meet the students' needs and always cater my tutoring to their learning style. I use a variety of techniques to make learning as fun as possible. I am extremely patient, kind and understanding and always maximize the time with my students.

Hello. My name is Mary and I go to Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa. I live on Clearwater Beach and have lifeguarded and provided child care at Carlouel Yacht Club for four years. I have been a babysitter for five years. I am a patient, goofy, kind, artistic, smart, and creative girl and plan to study engineering in college. I love hanging out with kids, and I know we will have a good time when together. I can help children with homework (my specialty is math) and organizing. I have always maintained a 3. 5 GPA average so I do quite well in school. I help my younger siblings all the time with their school work whether it is in math or English. I am currently going to school again which is online so I will be able to help your child navigate their own online virtual learning as well.

I grew up in the Tampa Bay area tutoring fellow peers and younger children while studying in gifted and International Baccalaureate programs for both my primary and secondary education. I have about a year of paid experience tutoring elementary and middle school students in math, reading, and writing at the Kumon Center of Dunedin, but also have years of volunteer experience tutoring high schoolers in biology, calculus, and other subjects as well. I absolutely love working with and teaching children and have almost a year of experience caring for younger children from infants to toddlers at the Clifton School at Clairmont, where I worked part-time while attending university. Currently, I am still attending Emory University in Atlanta, GA but am presently located in Palm Harbor for the summer.
