My name is David and I have been playing guitar for 20 years. I am a graduate of Christopher Newport University, and currently reside in Farifax, VA. I work for the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine as a member services associate located in Old Town Alexandria, VA. Music has and always will be an extremely important part of my life. From when I received my first guitar as a kid, I knew music would have a positive impact in my life. I believe that music can have a positive impact on anyone willing to give it a shot, and I hope that I can share my passion and knowledge with anyone who wants to learn more. Performing Experience: 2010-Present Band ldquo;4 Beers Aheadrdquo; Lead Guitarist, back up vocalist, and harmonica player in band that has performed at several local DC venues including Jammin Java, Rock and Roll Hotel, and Fat Tuesdayrsquo;s. Band has also performed at venues in Newport News, VA, as well as Corpus Christi, TX. Started out as a jam band in the beginning of college, evolved into a cover band, and now working on releasing first EP in summer of 2017. Played at numerous parties and performed in battle of the bands. 2005-2007 Robinson Guitar Ensemble Part of an ensemble that focused on classical style guitar technique including finger picking and reading music. Performed at the national level, receiving superior marks at every performance. 2001-2003 Middle School Band (Trumpet) 2nd Chair in Symphonic Band out of 15 Trumpets. Quit trumpet after middle school to focus on guitar, but have recently started playing again.
