Looking for a teacher for my 11-year-old 5th grader boy with special needs. He has special learning needs due to down syndrome. We are looking for someone gentle with skills to use different learning tools for teaching. Our son loves to read but he does no retain much so we are working on comprehension. He can do basic addition and subtraction. We are wokring on word problems for multiplication and division using calculator. We use games and manipulatives to help learning. He is very friendly and joyful. He makes bonds easily and responds to positive redirection. We are looking for someone to work with him M-F 1 to 2 hours after school at our home.
