Job Summary for Direct Support Profession caregiver: Flexible PT and FT schedules available. Join our team! Direct Support Professionals provide an essential service to families and is highly rewarding! This care-giving position is ideal for a person who enjoys working with children. Assisting with activities of daily living, doing community outings, and assisting with homework are some examples of necessary activities. Responsibilities / Assist Clients with: Help clients reach their individualized goals, help to promote communication skills, and increase socialization opportunities Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing Prepare meals and snacks and feeding Assist with dispensing medication Complete daily charting. Provide supervision and transportation to community activities. Ability to adhere to all company health and safety guidelines Excellent communication and interpersonal spills Walk/Stand --Drive up to 2 hours--Bend/Stoop--Balance -Lift, carry, transfer up to 40 lbs. Knowledge of first aid and/ or CPR training preferred High school diploma Possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record- Must provide a current copy of your driving record Willing to drive personal vehicle to and from clients home and community outings Compassionate, respectful, ethical and reliable
