A is a friendly 21-year-old young man. He loves to play games, do puzzles, bike rides, play music, and read books. Biggest challenge is distracting him from electronics! He has a dual diagnosis of Down Syndrome/Autism and Type 1 Diabetes. He wears an insulin pump and blood glucose monitor. His blood sugars are well managed and requires 100% assistance. He attends school and is a lifelong student of academics (homeschool curriculum). He is making great strides. He uses a tablet to communicate (minimally verbal). He does not have aggressive or fleeing behaviors. JOB DESCRIPTION: Manage blood sugars for Type I Diabetes, assist/provide direction with daily activities, help increase skills for independence, help client perform simple daily functions. Would appreciate willingness to support with homework, and speech/physical therapy.
