PCA for our 13 yr old special needs daughter! PCAs perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs); dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, bowel regimen (peristeen), food bag prep & organize medical supplies. Help with OT, Speech & PT. Assist & transfer from bed, to her equipment. Document ADLs & medications in her binder. She can't feel external pain (HSAN) but can feel internal pain, called Visceral Hyperalgesia. She cannot talk or walk independently. She likes riding her bike, boating, swimming, playing on her ipad, school & music. PCAs can drive our Accessible Van to bring her to therapies, Zoo, museum, library, gym, mall & parks. PCAs are paid by Accra & we pay an additional stipend per hour. PCAs will be paid for training & we pay a stipend based on experience & reliability.
