About the job
Mom of 2 beyond verbal autistic kids (ages 10 and 6) seeking helper for 4 hours a day 3 times a week. Sometimes we will just lay around the house and prepare snacks for the kids. Other times we will be actively swimming, going to parks, or embarking on a new adventure. We are an unschooling family. We are looking for an energetically coherent and sensory sensitive person who knows how to presume competence in children. Must have a calm demeanor and know how to co-regulate their nervous system with a child. We are looking for someone who is attentive to non-speaking communication and also is comfortable supporting apraxic bodies with respect. Must be able to swim, pick up a 50lb child in case of emergency, and loves to support child led activities.
