About the job

Looking for a personal care attendant for our 7-year-old autistic son, soon to be 8. This will be a 42 and a half to 50 hour/week shift which does not include overtime pay. The work week begins Thursday and ends the following Wednesday. The current pay is $12. 70/hour (hourly wage set by the state). Must be at least 18 years old. Hours: Mondays-Fridays 6:30am-9 a.m. and 3pm-9 p.m. Weekends as needed. Responsibilities: Assist with toileting, bathing, grooming, doing some of his laundry, cleaning messes, assistance with meal preparation, and some transferring depending on frequent behavioral issues. He will also need help getting on and off the bus. Type of candidate we are looking for: You must have some experience with autistic children who are not high functioning.
