Hi, my son Cory has Cerebral Palsy and is quadriplegic, but can still use his right hand for some basic things and his cognition isn't affected by his disorder very noticeably. Don't let the disorder scare you, though, as the job is probably easier than most highly active kids really. He even takes college classes and is quite fun to be around as he really is a great kid (well, young adult now at 19 :) ). I'm looking for a caretaker/father's helper who can assist me with transfers between bed and chairs, assist with his basic needs like getting his cereal ready, bringing his toothbrush stuff to him, making and cutting up a PB&J, etc. We'll do a meet and greet to show you the ropes. If you can do the transfers, it's an easy job really. Pay is $11-15/hr. I can't afford more, I'm sorry. I'm a partially disabled vet myself. Thanks!
