Job Opening: Part-Time Caretaker for Disabled Father I am seeking a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy caretaker to assist my disabled father with his daily needs. This is a part-time position, 2-3 days per week for about 2 hours per day. Schedule & Hours: • 2-3 days per week • Approximately 2 hours per day (flexible depending on needs and availability) Pay: • $20/hour to start • Increases to $25/hour after 30 days of consistent reliability • (Please note: excessive call-outs or unreliability will result in replacement.) Responsibilities: • Assist with meals (breakfast, lunch, or dinner depending on shift) can bring Dunkin and gets reimbursed or has a bowl or cereal and makes coffee. • Provide reminders and assistance with daily medications • Help with light household tasks as needed • Companionship and conversation • Ensure safety and comfort at all times • Transfer him safely to and from his wheelchair as needed • Assist with personal hygiene: washing/bathing once or twice a week, shavjng or trimming face. • Do laundry as needed • Monitor and assist with his urostomy bag (training can be provided if unfamiliar) Requirements: • Prior caregiving experience strongly preferred (professional or family care) • Must be comfortable assisting with mobility, hygiene, and medical equipment • Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy • Reliable transportation • Compassionate and respectful attitude toward care Benefits: • Consistent part-time hours with pay increase after first month • Opportunity to make a real difference in daily life • Supportive family environment We have dogs that might need to be let out, Parkside has small houses with no storage so it can be a tight fit sometimes.
