About the job
Our daughter is 29 and has cerebral palsy: she's quadriplegic and non-speaking -and she's social and bright with normal cognition. She is unable to move for basic personal care needs though she drives a power wheelchair, speaks with a computer! We are looking for someone who'll be her companion and part of the family. We have had live-ins before and our house is well equipped with a private apartment space including a private full bath, living area, and separate bedroom. The right person will make a huge contribution to our daughter's life and judging from experience, she'll make a huge difference in yours too! Other requirements: Female, non-smoker, fluent in English, licensed to drive, and strong enough to transfer our daughter to/from her wheelchair (90 lbs). ~40 hrs/ week.
