Special Needs Caregiver For Child With Autism In Walnut Creek

We are looking for someone to help care for our 16-year-old son at our home in Walnut Creek. Responsibilities include 1:1 support with walking the neighborhood, swinging, listening to music, feeding, reading books and other activities. Our son has severe autism and ADHD. He is non-verbal, but can communicate using a picture exchange system. He can get agitated at times and is not potty trained. We are willing to train the right individual, but prior experience working with developmental disabilities or as a behavior/ABA therapist is helpful. The role is a great experience for someone committed to working in the autism community, as past caregivers have attended top graduate schools or received excellent positions in school districts. We are flexible on days/hours per week, but prefer a consistent schedule. Thank you for your interest.
