I'm looking for care, companionship, and transportation for my 91yo grandmother. She is fiercely independent but legally blind. We need someone to drive her to appointments and "be her eyes" on other errands like groceries and vet visits. Experience with technology is *required.* She'll rely on you to schedule appointments by computer or phone. Experience with blind or low-vision clients is preferred. She moved to Ballard Glen Independent Senior living in Appleton, and "heavy lifting" refers to helping her unpack and getting settled- a few boxes at a time. Caregiver should be a non-smoker, have their own transportation, and be comfortable with a small dog. You'll be driving her car to appointments, so caregiver must provide legal proof of driver's license and insurance. Hours range from 20-30 per week. (We don't use a Hoyer lift.)
