About who needs care: My sister-in-law has ALS and requires full-time skilled care. She is on a mechanical ventilator and a feeding tube. Were looking for an experienced nurse or caregiver who is familiar with tracheostomy and vent management, tube feeding, and basic daily care. She is calm, kind, and communicates through assistive devices. Compassion, patience, and reliability are very important to us. About the care needs: We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver or nurse who has prior experience working with ALS or ventilator-dependent patients or honestly willing to learn, we can train them with her care. The ideal caregiver should be confident in managing tracheostomy and ventilator care, tube feeding, suctioning, repositioning, and basic hygiene support. We value someone who is patient, calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and respectful of the familys space and routines. Reliability and good communication are very important to us. Were looking for someone who genuinely cares about their patients comfort and quality of life. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
