About who needs care: My mother has stage 4 colorectal cancer and she is slowly declining in her battle. She has a husband but he can't care for her all by himself and all of us kids are trying to pull our weight and be there the best we can however some nights we're not able to stay over as we have families or younger children to take care of as well. We just are seeking for a little extra help where needed. About the care needs: We want someone who is caring obviously. Someone who is going to be able to help her get around if she feels it's necessary. She still likes to try to be independent but is getting weaker and tends to lose balance. Someone who will give her extra compassion and companionship, possibly keep her mind busy if she's not too tired. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
