About who needs care: I have Becker's Muscular Dystrophy. I mainly need help showering, dressing, and toileting in the morning. I would require someone physically strong to help with transfers or standing up. About the care needs: I need someone who is patient and can respond positively if I get anxious about an activity. They also need to be physically strong for helping me transfer or stand up. Someone who has experience with individuals with neuromuscular disease would be good. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
