About who needs care: My MIL has Alzheimers and arthritis. She wears pull -ups but when she can remember still uses the toilet. She walks and talks its just her short term memory is totally gone. She is mostly pleasant ( but aren't we all) she just cant be left unattended. We would prefer someone with Alzheimers experience. She lives with her son and dil and their children. We need someone to look after her and do light house keeping, cooking and her laundry. We need someone for weekend care Monday thru Friday dayshift and Wednesday nights for 2 hours. We need someone that is willing to be paid through the Choices Program or an agency that works with Consumer Direct, this is Not a cash paying position. We are a working family so we need someone reliable and on time. About the care needs: Someone that is not pushy and overbearing very compassionate. Experience with Alzheimers. Enjoys spending time with elderly, playing games , fun activities , and understanding the importance of cognitive stimulation. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
