About who needs care: My father-in-law uses a walker and has some mobility limitations. He lives alone and has no hobbies or interests and recently lost his wife which adds to his emotional instability. We need someone who can check on him and visit with him to allow us to have occasional free time. Light housekeeping and grooming assistance would be a plus. About the care needs: We need someone who can handle a negative, grumpy, elderly man; someone not easily offended by an unfriendly personality at times. We need someone to help him with tasks such as clipping toenails. He can bathe himself but having someone nearby in case of a fall would be helpful. The caretaker would need to like dogs because there are 2 small dogs in the house. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
