The right candidate will provide compassionate direct care to a young adult male with intellectual disabilities, while assisting him to participate in an everyday life in his home and community. The ideal candidate will be proactive in finding meaningful day activities for the individual to participate in through volunteer work and community events. He is overall a very functional and well-rounded young man. Our biggest challenge is that he is non-verbal and communication skills are limited, but receptive language is excellent. If you have prior experience working with developmentally disabled young adults in a direct care role, we encourage you to apply for this position. Schedule: daytime hours; Monday - Friday.
