We have a preferred list of care tasks for my mother and father. But we wish to interview and keep open communication with a qualified care giver to assess my parent's needs day-to-day. These tasks include but are not conclusive: Manage medications. Prep 1-2 meals per day. Initiate and facilitate physical therapy exercises. Initiate activities such as puzzles, games & self-care. Take blood pressure, temperature as needed. Assist my mother with bathing 1-2x per week. Assist my mother with ostomy care daily. Complete laundry/light housekeeping 1x per week. Additional if possible: Facilitate doctor visits for my mother. Facilitate outtings (senior center, groceries). Dad gets around well and cares for himself but could use some help. Mom is a severe fall risk with limited mobility with her walker and wheelchair necessary outside the home.
