Donna experiences Alzheimers hallucinations. She struggles with paranoia and needs constant reassurance that she is safe. The biggest supports we need from a caretaker would be to help her with personal hygiene and to redirect her so that she does not try to leave the house. Donna lives with her husband, Jim, and their small dog, Lovey. She has a regular cleaning person, and her family regularly comes over to help. Donna will have ups and downs throughout the day. She loves to tell stories, and her long-term memory still serves her well. Her short-term memory is weak, but she always has to know where everyone is and what they are up to. This comes through in her paranoia episodes. She may refuse basic hygiene / become insistent upon leaving during these episodes. She does not have her license anymore, but her husband does have his.
