About who needs care: My wife is on bedrest for 8 weeks, after fracturing her pelvis. She has external fixation device, non weight bearing. Uses Hoyer lift, has a foley catheter. About the care needs: Recovery from surgery, will need 12 hour shifts. She has a ileostomy. My wife was in the Hospital for over 4 months this summer while waiting for a new heart valve. She was home for 1 month, then she fell and fractured er pelvis. She loves to talk, she can talk about anything. She was a 3rd grade teacher. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
