About who needs care: My son has Down Syndrome and hypothyroidism. He can be difficult to understand because of his speech but can articulate for himself in most cases. He likes to take a home made lunch to his volunteering role at the local high school and then go for a walk at the nearby park before returning home. About the care needs: He loves comics and movies about super heroes, scooby doo, and goosebumps movies. He walks well but could work on balance and endurance. He would also like to work on job training skills. He responds well to positivity and rewards for tasks. He is helpful by nature and loves museums, reading, and video games. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
