About who needs care: Looking for 2 caretakers to work in shifts, for an elderly woman who has some neurological and physical health issues, which cause her to have good and bad days. On her bad days, she has spells where she experiences nausea, vomitting, dizziness, cognitive, and mobility issues. On her good days, she does quite well, and is pretty self-sufficient. But when she has bad days, she needs help which exceeds her husband's ability to care for her, on his own (as he is healthy, but in his 90's). So we are looking for 2 caretakers who would be able to work in shifts, to help out on her "bad days," to pitch in with her care. We want her to be able to stay in her home, and we don't want to overwhelm her family members' capacity to care for her. We look forward to meeting you, as prospective care-takers, and seeing whether we are a good fit for one another. About the care needs: We are looking for someone who is honest, reliable, trust-worthy, punctual, and has a good work ethic; but also knows how to respect appropriate boundaries. Someone who knows how to help out, but without being overbearing/micromanaging. Someone who speaks english well, even if its not their first language, would be great. Hobbies that the person we are hiring you to care for enjoys include gardening, spending time outdoors, and playing card games. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
