About who needs care: He has parkinson's and mild dementia. Lost his wife in August, and she was his primary caregiver. He gets up around 4 p.m. and stays awake until around 12 Midnight. During his time awake he needs reminded to use the restroom, his bed sheets need changed and washed, he has to be given medication several times, watches tv, and eats a meal or two and sometimes snacks as well. Then gets ready for bed after the 11:00 news. So he needs help with housework, medications, meals, companionship, and occasional showering. About the care needs: Someone who is understanding that an elderly man has lost his wife, and he isn't ever in a hurry to get up and do any of the necessary tasks. He is slow moving and needs a compassionate and understanding caregiver to help see to his basic needs. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
