About who needs care: My grandmother has mild dementia. She is in a skilled nursing facility but will be discharged soon. Ive arranged for her to attend adult daycare during the mornings till about 3:30. So she would need assistance from an aide till maybe 8:30 p.m. Only a couple days a week. She needs assistance going to the bathroom. Sometimes shes able to wipe herself but most of the time she cant. I would figure after a day of adult daycare she probably would be napping most of the time when she gets home. The adult daycare serves lunch so all she would need is dinner. I usually prepare the meal for her and all it would need is warmed up. About the care needs: Nursing skills, some therapy at times and patience. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
