About who needs care: My husband has had multiple strokes and has short term memory loss and aphasia. He doesnt have control of his bowel and needs cleaning in the morning. He is terrified of the shower so he is cleaned in bed. He also had a urostomy and has a night. He would need getting up, cleaned and dressed. He uses a walker but needs help as he is prone to falls. He gets in his chair and usually spends his day there. He will need breakfast. If you could change his bed and throw in washer I would appreciate it. Just being available because he sometimes thinks he can just get up and walk. I use this time out for drs. appointments and grocery shopping. Never more than 40 minutes away. I might also want one other day a month just to visit friends. We need someone who will take exceptional care. Also we have 2cats. One hides in the basement all day and the other is just outside or sleeping in the house. About the care needs: Someone who will understand my husbands needs. He basically watches certain shows on tv. He would like to sit outside on the porch. Hes not always talkative but likes to know where you are. Needs to know how to care for stroke patients. Cant think of any specific interests. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
