About who needs care: End stage kidney failure, legally blind, hearing loss, multiple strokes/hypertension, anemia About the care needs: He has combat PTSD and can be a little jumpy. Somone who is familiar with PTSD would be good. Being blind with very poor hearing adds to the PTSD symptoms because he's not always able to figure out what's going on around him. He's unsteady on his feet. He does well in the house, not well outside. He's interested in history and science, hunting (can't now because he's blind), music (mostly 60s and 70s folk). He like TV but has to pause it and have someone explain what's on the screen. He has a book reader and gets audio books from the library of congress. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
