Hands-on Care Needed For Our Mother In Geneseo Our family is looking for a companion to offer fellowship, support, and protection for our 86-year-old mother w/ a diagnosis of dementia & TBI. Ideal match will be: kind, flexible, understands how to converse/interact with someone with dementia, strong problem-solving/reasoning skills, enjoys a good laugh, non-patronizing, knows when to give space, is patient, listens. Duties include medication reminders, transportation (outings, dr's appts, errands, etc.), physical activity, mental stimulation, light housekeeping, meal prep w/ seafood as main protein (she's a pescatarian), some basic assistance with dressing, hygiene, toileting. Preference for non-smoking, must like pets, safe/experienced driver. Current need: subbing M-F all shifts (7-3, 3-10, & 10-7) w/ potential for more permanent hrs.
