Hands-on Care Needed For My Adult Child In Cold Spring Harbor

Seeking hands-on care near Cold Spring Harbor for our 25-year-old adult male child who has a disease of the brain that affects his speech & some physical coordination (although he is currently self-sufficient with his physical coordination.) He must walk very slowly down any stairs. We would prefer someone who can handle light housekeeping. Seeking someone to handle his shakes & meal preparation. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. We'll need you to handle groceries or errands when appropriate. You'll be responsible for transporting to/from regular local appointments. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker & comfortable with pets. Wages will be paid thru the Medicaid PPL program (after taxes about $262/wk) with some PPL benefits + the possibility of an additional hourly supplement based on experience.
