About who needs care: The patient, my father, has vertigo and issues with his blood pressure, but remains healthy as a bull. He enjoys staying active, whether it's going outside to run errands, fixing things around the house (from repairing phone wires to repairing the washing machine and everything in between), or playing the steel pan. He is also the primary caretaker for his wife, my mother. About the care needs: We are seeking someone with a flexible schedule who understands or has knowledge of Caribbean culture. The ideal candidate should have an interest in fixing things (or at least be willing to assist with repairs), accompany him on errands and outings, have a love for music, and be a good listener. It would also be great if the candidate has a car (but not a deal breaker) Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
